Honeycomb and Sunbeam Caralet
by Birdy Evans
The word “caralet” is a portmanteau of cara (meaning friend in Irish) and bracelet. They are grown up friendship bracelets.
This pretty, dainty bracelets are a quick afternoon project. Whip one up to go with an outfit or as a last minute gift. I like the look of size 8 seeds beads but sizes 6 thru 10 work well too.
There are two caralet patterns included in this pattern which is also part of a larger ebook.
Honey comb is a narrow bracelet with a lit of lace work on both sides.
Sunbeam is a wider, scalloped bracelet with lace work only on one side.
Although, I recommend perle cotton, this can be knit with silk embroidery thread.
