Homestead Hauberk is a warm, utilitarian layer inspired by medieval armor. It represents protection and blessings.

This piece is a great chance to use some rustic wool. Since the fabric doesn’t sit next to your skin at any point, it’s an ideal choice for this heirloom project and will be sure to keep you warm and cozy.

The fit is snug at the bust, but has a wide, low neckline and deep armholes so that it may be worn over other garments. The length is customizable.

This pattern includes full charts for the neckline and for the body panel cables. Each neckline chart can be downloaded separately by size with their corresponding written instructions.
