This extremely dramatic and elegant shawl makes an especially nice gift. Its very generous size of 80” by 40” makes it suitable for all body sizes. Or, a masterpiece such as this looks absolutely lovely hanging over a frame as shown above, using it as home decor rather than a clothing accessory. Filet crochet produces exceptionally nice projects, but unfortunately, photography is difficult due to its nature. Please excuse the lack of more professional photography at this time. If you have never worked a filet crochet project, you will be happy to know that it uses only double crochet and chain stitches to create the image. This makes it very quick and easy. The shawl shown took approximately 30 hours for completion. For those unfamiliar with filet crochet, a beginner tutorial is included with the pattern.
