Holmen Slipover
Holmen Slipover is an aran vest. It is worked bottom up according chart. The body is first worked in rounds, before it is divided into front and back piece at the armhole openings; both pieces are finished flat separately. The shoulders are knit together and cast off with a 3rd needle. Finally, you pick up stitches for the ribbing around the armhole opening, which is then folded and sewn to the wrong side. The ribbings at the armhole openings are worked in 2x2 rib and cast off with the Italian method.
Check the sizes and measurements first. The measurements are calculated according to the gauge. Knit a gauge swatch, so that you hit the correct gauge. Take measurements after washing and blocking. You might have to change the needle size to hit the correct gauge.
