This cushion, with its holly and ivy leaves and knitted berries, has a wintry feel. The green and white colorwork on the front is paired with a plain purple back.

Knitters can choose to work the front in intarsia or it could be worked in fair isle method if you prefer. Or, if you wish, in a combination of the two.

after knitting the holly panel (center section) and the two ivy panels for the sides, the back is worked as a single piece and the sections are sewn together with mattress stitch. the front and back are joined on 3 sides and a zipper is added on one edge. The cushion is 40cm square.
