The concept for these socks is to allow the knitter to create their own design that “matches” in a “mix-matched” way. By working within the constraints of the number of rounds needed for the leg but being free to select from a “standard” pattern menu as to how those rounds will be realized, these socks are new and different each time they are made. Make them the same; make them different – it’s all up to you!
