Stefanie Japel’s regal hat is knit with an embarrassment of riches from Tilli Tomas: ‘Disco Lights,’ ‘Asteroid’ and ‘Flurries,’ prestrung with sequins and beads, and pure wool ‘Aspen’ as the anchor. The intarsia body is knit in two pieces that are then sewn together; the brim is picked up and knit down.”
