The Ho-ho-hope gift bag is a fun and sustainable alternative for normal wrapping paper.
You’ll be giving an extra gift that can be reused for a long time! It’s a small thing like this that gives you hope for the future. For the future of planet earth.

I mixed the regular Hobbii Friends Cotton 8/4 with Hobbii Friends Cotton 8/4 Print which gives a fabulous effect.
You’ll hold two strands together while you’re making the gift bag. This is called double stranded crochet.
It creates very colourful stripes. Please pick your own colours and make your own colour combinations to create a unique gift bag!
You can make the bag as big or small as you like.

You’ll first make the body of the bag which consists of one panel that you’ll fold and sew together. After that you’ll create the top of the bag. Then you’ll make a nice long cord that you’ll weave through the openings you’ve created.

The pattern is suitable for the adventurous beginner. The major part of the stitches you need to make consist of the double- and the single crochet stitch. I’ve made a photo tutorial to make it even easier.
