The Hluka Crescent Shawl is worked from the top down and is one of the most relaxing projects I’ve knit. The shawl is knit in an easy to memorise garter stripe and eyelet pattern. The sample shown uses a single skein of fingering-weight silk yarn and US 6 (4 mm) needles, giving it a light and drapey finish. My skein was generously sized at around 618 yards (565 m), so if your skein is closer to 350 yards (320 m), you’ll want two to achieve the same finished size.

Materials:

1 100g skein Purl Soho Cattail Silk, 100% Mulberry Silk approx. (565 m/618 yards) Colour – Soot Blue

Yarn needle
Gauge: 18 sts and 32 rows in stockinette stitch = 4” (10cm) after blocking
Finished Size: Wingspan - 56” (142 cm) Depth 16” (40.5 cm)
