This is just the sort of wool sweater that will hit the spot for any child. Instead of a dreaded scratchy pullover that is too bulky to fit within a winter coat, this soft and smooth garment fits more like a shirt. This simple design actually combines a top-down construction with a circular yoke and raglan hybrid for maximum comfort. The close fit allows for ease of movement without being overly restrictive or tight. Best of all, this sweater can grow with a child. The simple rolled hem and cuff can easily be lengthened as the child grows and the elbow patches can be adjusted.

Approx 425 (500, 575, 675, 800, 950) yds / 388.5 (457, 525.5, 617, 731, 868.5) m of fingering weight yarn is required for MC and 75 (75, 75, 100, 100, 125) yds / 68.5 (68.5, 68.5, 91.5, 91.5, 114.5) m of fingering weight yarn is required for CC. Any changes in sizing will alter the yardage required.

Hits the Spot is part of the e-book Nourishing Knits, where it is paired with a recipe for Pepperkakor, a Scandinavian cookie similar to gingerbread. Hits the Spot is also available individually, without the recipe pairing.
