Hip Vintage Crochet Blanket Joining Plus Border

Difficulty Level/Skill Required: Intermediate

Basic stitches in simple variations, simple repeats, color changes, shaping and finishing.
Includes more involved stitch combinations like the popcorn stitch.

You will need to know basic stitches like the DC (double crochet).
The squares are the most complex to make for this project.
Joining and Border - simple construction, shaping and finishing.

Supplies/Materials:
Yarn –Moya 100% Cotton Double Knit (cotton yarn) assortment of colors and grams.
Weight – DK (11 wpi) Approx. - 3700 yards (3375 m)
Hook - 3, 50 mm (E) – Clover
Scissors
Yarn needle

Abbreviations: US Terminology
CH - chain
SL ST - slip stitch
SC - single crochet (UK - DC)
HDC - half double crochet (UK - HTR)
DC - double crochet (UK - TR)
RS – right side
WS- wrong side

Gauge:
Not necessary for this project to be perfect.
However if you use a different yarn and/or hook sizing will differ.
Using the SAME hook and yarn will ensure your squares are consistent in size.

Approx. 53 x 53 inches (135 x 135 cm)

A - Natural 3 x 50 g
B – Geisha 5 x 50 g
C – Sepia 4 x 50 g
D – London Sky 13 x 50 g
