Himéros is an elongated shawl. Very elongated indeed !

Concretely, Himéros is a shawl parallelogram shape, although a little unbalanced. You start at one end, until you reach a comfortable length. Then, hop, without any warning, you take a sharp turn and knit perpendicularly until the end of this row. Add some teasing shorts rows and you got this unique shape.

This is an easy garter stitch pattern. So, you can choose to wet-block or not. If you do not block it, it will be thick and soft, with a good length of almost 2 yards. If you do block it, it will be light, slightly soft, but with a length of 2.35 yards.

To keep the twisted spirit of this shawl, the first part is worked on the right side, whereas the second part is worked on the wrong side. This shawl is completely reversible !

All in all, this shawl is easy to knit, not that technical, for a various and colorful result.
The given gauge is purely informative. It is measured on a stretched garter stitch.

Yardage :
between 385 and 435 yd for Main Color, between 220 and 250 yd for Contrasting Color 1, between 35 and 50 yd of Contrasting Color 2.

Himéros, c’est un long châle. Un très long châle !

Concrètement, Himéros est un châle en forme de parallélogramme légèrement désaxé. On part d’une pointe jusqu’à atteindre une longueur confortable. Puis, hop, sans prévenir, on tricote perpendiculairement au rang que l’on vient de faire. S’ajoute à cela, une petite zone de rangs raccourcis à l’esprit taquin, et on obtient cette forme si particulière. Le tout se tricote au point mousse.

On peut alors faire le choix de bloquer et d’étirer le châle ou non. Non bloqué, le châle sera épais et moelleux, pour une longueur
appréciable d’1m80. Bloqué, vous obtiendrez un châle plus aérien,
légèrement moelleux, mais avec une longueur confortable de 2m15.

Pour rester dans l’esprit du châle un peu tordu, la première partie
montre l’endroit du travail, alors que la seconde montre l’envers. Ce qui en fait un châle totalement réversible, double face.

En somme, ce châle est facile à réaliser, peu de techniques pour un résultat haut en couleurs et en forme.

L’échantillon donné est purement informatif et est basé sur un point mousse étiré.

Métrages :
entre 350 et 400 m de couleur principale, entre 200 et 230 m de couleur secondaire 1, entre 35 et 45 m de couleur secondaire 2.
