The Highland floor mat will add a touch of classic country to your home.

The mat is worked up in Hdc moss St then yarn is threaded through to give the tartan look. You can follow the colour sequence of the pattern or make the mat base 1 colour and thread scrap yarn through for a colourful addition to your home.

Skill level: Easy

Yarn:
10ply/worsted/4 weight yarn in 5 colours
MC1 – Light grey – 75g/ 150m/ 164 yds
MC2 – Laguana – 70g/ 140m/ 153 yds
CC1 – Mariner – 50g/ 100m/ 110 yds
CC2 – Cream – 15g/ 30m/ 33 yds
CC3 – Amber – 5g/ 10m/ 11yds

Tools & notions:
5.5mm hook. blocking mats & pins, Long needle to thread yarn through mat, scissors, darning needle.

Note: Threading the yarn through will take the longest, the easiest way to do this is to sit the mat pinned to blocking boards on a table and take regular breaks.
