Highland Fling
This pattern can be purchased individually or as part of the Scotch Knits collection (4 patterns for 6 euros) but you’ll have to decide at the time of purchase.
A long narrow crescent shaped scarf, which is a surprisingly a easy knit - the colourwork is over 15 rows, but only 7 of them involve 2 colours - which limits the fiddly bit, but gives the impact of fairisle - and is placed towards the bottom where it can really be seen.
The cables are mock cables - no cable needle required, no twisting of stitches
You can use any yarn from fingering - aran - just check your yds/meters and use the percentages in the pattern.
Minimum 300m of MC.
Beads can be placed in the centre of the motifs (great idea from Heather2009).
Many thanks to the testers:

Note: Some of the projects from 2011 linked to this pattern are earlier test versions made with a different shape which didn’t work well. For that reason I modified the shape and it now has central increases and no “hump”☺
