High Voltage is a stranded headband that doubles as a cowl, featuring a zigzag pattern that reminded me of the high voltage warning sign.

MATERIALS
Yarn

• Garnstudio DROPS Karisma (100 m/50 g, 100% superwash wool) or similar DK-weight yarn in two colors
• Main color: #44 Light Gray approx. 90 (95 – 95 – 165) m / 100 (105 – 105 – 180) yd
• Contrast color: #52 Dark Mustard approx. 20 (20 – 25 – 35) m / 25 (25 – 25 – 40) yd

Needles
For headband: Short circular needles (40 cm / 16”) in the following sizes
For cowl: Long circular needle (80 cm / 32”) in the following sizes

• 3.0 mm (US 2½) for ribbing
• 3.5 mm (US 4) for stockinette
• 3.75 mm (US 5) for stranded stockinette (or sizes to obtain gauge)

Notions

• Stitch marker
• Darning needle

SKILLS REQUIRED
Pattern requires knowledge of: working in the round and simple stranded colorwork. Ability to work colorwork from a chart is recommended, although written instructions are also provided.
