Hexagon Spiral Motif
This pattern gives you instructions to make a hexagon motif with a raised spiral design. Make as many as you like - they are perfect for stitching together into a cushion cover, seat pad, blanket or throw. Suggested layouts are provided for a bag, a cushion and a bed runner.
This pattern contains lots of notes and pictures to help you work the motif. A ‘quick print’ version is available on page 9.
Materials
• Yarn: 250m yarn will produce seven motifs with enough yarn for joining - you should use the same brand of yarn, where possible, for similar sizing.
• A hook (appropriately sized for chosen yarn)
• A needle for neatening ends.
Gauge
Each motif should measure approximately 5” (12.5cm) when worked in worsted weight yarn with a 4.00mm hook. Other yarn and hook combinations will produce different sizes. Gauge is not important, as long as you maintain consistency between motifs.
