Here it is - Hermione’s Beaded Bag! I have been dreaming of making this ever since I read Harry Potter & the Deathly Hallows. Sure, this bag doesn’t hold quite as much as Hermione’s does, but it is surprisingly roomy. Lined with black satin to keep any possible intruders in the dark.

For this project, you will need approx. 200 yds fingering-weight yarn (such as Jojoland Melody which has a lovely gradient effect), 3 to 4 hanks of size 11/0 Czech seed beads, 1 spool waxed nylon thread, and a spool of 1/8” 0.3 cm ribbon. Optional materials for the lining and tassel include a bit of fabric and heavy-duty stabilizer, 18 - 3/16” 0.5 cm metal eyelets, and a 1/2” 1.3 cm wooden bead.

Included in the pattern are full written instructions for stringing the beads, knitting the pattern and all finishing, photo tutorials for knitting with the beads and making the tassel, and a link to videos demonstrating techniques used.
