SIZE

FINISHED MEASUREMENTS
Width: 39.5” / 100 cm.
Height: 17.75” / 45 cm.
Size is easy to adjust.

YARN
MC: Novita Nalle Alpakka (50% wool, 30% alpaca, 20% polyamid; 158 yds / 145 m per 50 g), colourway 060. 1 skein. (Note: I did use all of the yarn, so you might like to prepare with a little extra, which I’ve added to the yardage estimate below.)
Or appox. 174 yds / 160 m of sport-weight yarn.

CCs: Various fingering- to sport-weight scraps (appox. 105 yds / 96 m in total).

My shawl weighs 80 g and I used 5 different colours, totaling approx. 30 g. If you keep your colour sequence similar to mine, you’ll need approx. 53 yds / 48 m of CC1, 23 yds / 21 m of CC2 and 10 yds / 9 m each of CC3, CC4 and CC5.

NEEDLES
US 4 / 3.5 mm 32–40” / 80–100 cm circular needles.

NOTIONS
Stitch markers.

GAUGE
18 sts x 30 rows = 4” / 10 cm in stockinette stitch, after blocking.

NOTES
The pattern is written with my colour changes. However, you can treat the shawl as your canvas and knit any stripe with any colour you want. You can knit every single one with a separate colour, or use even less than I did.

You can also alter the size by adding more Block of Stripes repeats. Just note that making alterations to the size (or the amount of colours used) will also affect the yardage you need.
