Heoga
The inspiration for this crescent shawl came from a Fair Isle yoked jumper I remember from when I was little. The body of the jumper featured a single stitch of a different colour and had a Fair Isle yoke.
As I love lace, I wanted to create this but in a lace shawl. So the yarn overs produce the pattern instead of the use of different colours like in a normal Fair Isle pattern.
It is knitted, like Fair Isle, on a stocking stitch base.
This shawl used 990m of FC47 yarn – main colour
This shawl used 470m of 203 yarn – second colour
