Henry's Windows
This sock was designed for the Super Sock Scarefest Group on Ravelry.com 2015 season.
I enjoy architechtural things and tend to pick up on them in movies and often wonder how I can translate them into knitting patterns and designs. I was watching the 1935 classic, Bride of Frankenstein, when I noticed a shadow on the wall in Henry’s bedroom. There is another scene in the movie where you can see that the shadow is caused by diamond shaped leaded glass windows. I love the spooky shadow they cast and Henry’s Windows is my interpretation of the shadow. This is a toe up sock with a gusset, heel turn and heel flap for the heel. It is also flooded with twisted stitches.
