Henrietta the Holstein
Henrietta uses size 10 ½ needles, and approximately 150 yards of white (w)(divide white into 5-6 balls), 100 yards of black(b)(divide the black into 4 balls), 25 yards of tan, 15 yards of pink and 1 yard of red to make the cow shown here. The weight of wool that you use will determine final animal size. I use a heavy 3 ply yarn, bulky weight. The size of your finished wonder will vary depending on needle size and wool. I use a 16 gauge embroidery needle to sew the finished item, and I added a collar with a 3/4 inch copper bell.
