Henrietta Shoulderette
Henrietta is designed to be spun and knit from a single 4oz braid. The alternating bands of simple lace and stockinette separated by purl ridges show off the slow color progression and rustic character of the Urban GypZ vintaged BFL top.
The pattern can be easily adapted to other gauges by adding or subtracting the number of chart repeats across, and can be adapted to larger quantities of yarn or finer gauge by working more sets of the alternating stockinette and lace rows.
This sample was knit from woolen spun yarn; worsted spun would be lacier but should still have a nice effect!
Materials:
One 4 oz braid of Urban GypZ vintaged BFL
Spun semi-woolen using long draw from the end of the top. The braid was split in half, and then one half was split in quarters, as per my blog entry here.
Finished yarn was 250 yds of two ply, at 8-10 wpi.
