Henley's Regatta
I love to wear big scarves to keep the cold of the winter out. This one is made from my Lafonia Sock – a 100% British Falkland Island Merino High Spun wool which is beautifully soft, not to prone to “pilling” because of how it has been spun and has a wonderful drape which is held in place by the garter stitch edgings. The colour here is November Storm. The patterning on the scarf represents sailing boats and the pattern is totally reversible making it ideal for a scarf project.
Although I have stated a tension it really isn’t too important as its a scarf and it would be good knitted in other weights of yarn or on larger needles for a more lacey effect with other sock yarns.
It is also possible to make this scarf longer - I used 2 x 100 grams 365 metre skeins of Lafonia and I had approx 72 metres left over at the above tension.
This pattern is free via email upon purchase of any yarn from my website - www.woolhunter.com. Simply contact me via the feedback form on my website.
