This sweater was born out of the slightly mad fever-dream of the 2014 Ravellenic Games. When I decided to participate, I knew I had to push myself over the short two-weeks of the Olympics. I knew that I had to make a sweater. But a plain old sweater wouldn’t do! I had been playing around with slip stitches and stripes. When I put them together the Hellenic Pullover was born.

The Hellenic Pullover is a simple top down yoke sweater with slip-stitch colorwork at yolk, hem and cuffs. A panel of short rows at the back of the neck make the sweater lay nicely over your shoulders, and a rolled ribbing collar gives this sweater a beautiful finish. It’s knit a fairly large gauge with cozy (and affordable) Knit Picks’ Wool of the Andes, making it perfect for when you want a new hand-knit sweater right now.
