Helianthus
“Turn your face to the sun and the shadows follow behind you.”
Maori proverb
This is a pattern for a top down circular yoked cardigan. Stitches are cast on for the rib neckline (worked flat), then short rows are worked for neck shaping. The neck is joined and yoke chart worked for chosen size. Sleeve stitches are separated from body sts. Underarm stitches are cast on/picked up and each element is worked separately to the edge rib, before bind off.
Since Helianthus is worked from the top down, sizes may be easily adjusted for best fit. If you need more room over the body or upper arms, simply cast on/pick up additional stitches after the yoke is worked. Conversely, if you have smaller arms and need fewer stitches, do not work the last increase over the yoke chart.
