Hélène Cowl
Hélène Cowl is a lovely cowl that features a mosaic (or slip stitch) colorwork design which is much simpler to knit than it looks. It is worked in the round and the length can be adjusted easily (just make sure you have enough yarn to compensate). The featured yarns combine soft wool and smooth silk to give the cowl a luscious feel – perfect for cooler weather. Be sure to choose colors that have a high contrast to help the mosaic pattern stand out.
Charted & written instructions for the colorwork pattern (which is an adaptation of a pattern found in Vogue Knitting Stichionary 3, ed. by Carla Scott) are included. I hope you will find this cowl to be cheerful addition to your wardrobe. Happy Knitting!
