Heiðlóa
Heiðlóa is a lovely little lace baby blanket, named for the golden plover which is our sign in Iceland that spring is nearly here. It symbolizes the hope that we feel when new life approaches.
The blanket is available in two sizes but is easily sized up or down, by increasing or decreasing repeats.
For the smaller size (60x90 cm) you need 700 meters of fingering yarn, and for the larger size (70x100 cm) you need 875 meters.
Gauge is measured after blocking and is not critical but will of course affect your yardage and the size of the blanket.
The pattern is available with both written and charted instructions.
Please enjoy!
