Hedgerow Harlequin by Claire Crompton

Hedgerow Harlequin

From the book:
In this autumn-inspired throw, each shape is worked by picking up stitches from those around it, so there is no sewing to do. The colours are chosen at random to create the glorious patchwork effect. The squares are shaped with the sk2po decrease; each one is worked in three colours in garter stitch and stockinette stripes. The shapes are used on their ends to form diagonal lines of diamonds. The tassles are added to the zigzag edges after the main piece has been knitted.

Knit note:
Use two strands of light-weight (DK) and medium-weight (aran) yarns together throughout. Make sure that you work through all strands for each stitch.

Gauge:
Basic Diamond at widest point: 14 cm using size 7mm needles.
