Heather Tam
by Lynette Meek
Five colours of sport weight yarn were used to make the Tam.
Heather Tam is part of the Retreating Tams E-book.
The Heather Tam as shown is a jaunty 10 inch wide traditional Tam. It is shown with a hemmed and fair-isle pattern brim.
There are two length sizes of Tam in the pattern, the 10 inch tam or a 12 inch tam. A 12 inch tam makes a really beautiful fair-isle slouchy.
There are ribbed options for the brim - standard and corrugated are included in the pattern.
There are instruction for finishing the tam with a flat top as shown or an I-cord finish, as in a traditional beret.
