A classic baby blanket with a checkerboard design highlighted with heart motifs. Knit in a soft and washable merino yarn. I used 2 + balls of the LB Collection Superwash Merino. It is a very soft yarn, and an economical choice but you could make this with almost any yarn.

I knit this for baby Annalee the granddaughter of dear friends. I also posted a photo to show how I blocked this blanket as blocking is essential to show off the full details of the design.
