I was so excited when I found out that my sister in law is having a baby girl, that I started designing a sweet afghan. The result, “Hearts and Stripes.”

This design is asymmetrical and features cabling that resembles intertwined hearts.

This afghan is worked as a single piece. You should understand basic cabling and colorwork techniques. The pattern is well suited for intermediate knitters. There are written directions, as well as a color chart.

The finished piece measures 34 inches wide by 40 inches long and is machine washable and dryable.
