An off-center cable starts and stops down the front of this cozy, yet sophisticated, oversized top-down pullover. The Heartfelt Pullover features drop shoulders and minimal seaming for a comfortable fit and a happy knitting experience. The standout feature is the beautiful (and simple!) cable panel that adds a touch of elegance to this classic pullover. The Heartfelt Pullover can be worked in a heavy worsted weight yarn or, as shown in the sample, by using a combination of lightweight yarns held together.

Construction Details:

The Heartfelt Pullover is worked from the top-down with minimal seaming. After working the body from the top-down and seaming the shoulders, stitches are picked up around the armhole for the sleeves. The sleeves are worked in the round over a small circumference.

Recommended ease is 8”/20 cm. If you are between sizes, go down a size for a more form-fitted look or up a size for a boxy look. Shaina is 5’2”/158 cm tall and has a 39”/99 cm bust and is wearing the size 3 sweater.

Gauge: 16 sts and 22 rounds = 4”/10 cm in St-st, using size needle to obtain gauge.

Needles: US 8 (5 mm) 32”/80 cm circular needle and DPN or size needed for gauge, US 7 (4.5 mm) 16 and 32”/40 and 80 cm circular needles and DPN or one size smaller than size needed for gauge. Adjust needle size as necessary to obtain the correct gauge. 

Yarn: 850 (950, 1050, 1175, 1300)(1450, 1600, 1750, 1900) yards of heavy worsted weight (CYCA #4) yarn. 

In the sweater sample, one strand each of two different lightweight yarns are held together to create a heavy worsted weight:
La Bien Aimee “Merino Boucle” (100% Merino; 218 yds/50 g) in Sansa.
La Bien Aimee “Felix” (75% Falkland Merino, 25% Corriedale; 710 yds/100 g) in Sansa.
