Headband in Stripes
This little Headband in Stripes is instant gratification! It’s a fun way to use up a little leftover sock yarn, and it’s great for a last-minute gift.
While growing out my hair, I wanted something to help it look decent without gobs of hair goo. And since it’s summer, I don’t really want a lap-full of knitting.
Pattern includes written instructions and a diagram (not quite a chart), for reference.
This headband can be knit in most any yarn weight you wish to use. Perhaps most important is to choose colors you like. The pattern includes a stitch calculator that figures out how many stitches to cast on based on your gauge in stockinette. (It’s pretty neat, if I may say so myself!) The stitch calculator works on all computer platforms, including ipads and iphones. Simply download the Acrobat app and allow the app to open this file.
I know you’re wondering: What’s a Stitch Calculator??? I made a little sample calculator for you to see and play around with. Enter your own numbers where you see numbers in red.
Thanks to moilulu for testing!
