Haze mittens
The Haze mittens are designed for cold days
and everyday wear. The long cuff can
be folded double for extra warmth at
the wrists, while the thumbs are shaped
with gusset increases for a natural, comfortable
fit. A simple colorwork pattern is worked over the
hand, adding subtle texture without complicating
the knitting.
Worked in fingering-weight yarn held together
with a strand of lace-weight yarn such as mohair
or suri alpaca, the fabric becomes soft and slightly
haloed. For a more defined look, the mittens can
also be knit in a single strand of DK-weight yarn,
resulting in clearer stitch definition and a more
structured finish.
