Hawthorn
“Sit under a hawthorn on May morning to be whisked to fairyland… .” It is believed that Hawthorn is inhabited by fairies and if you take good care of the tree you will be blessed with good luck and happiness. This shawl is inspired by hawthorns that have the most interesting myths and for the majestic blooms it brings on in May.
“Hawthorn” is a rectangular shawl with lacy flowery edges. Estonian Nupp stitches will form beautiful diamond patterns which are complimented by small stars. You can choose between written instructions and charts or use both for easier following.
Remember! You can knit anything two rows at a time. ♥︎
