Hatchling Dragon Shawl
Dragon Ensemble Discount: For all my dragon designs, purchase at least 3 and receive a 25% discount at check-out.
Hatchling is the shawl that started my mini-obsession with dragon shawls. It began as an innocent attempt to make the most of a single skein of luxurious yarn. From its conception, many more dragons have emerged. This is a delightful, quick knit with stunning results.
Crescent-shaped shawlette.
Dimensions:
48” from tip to tip.
62” along the top curve.
20” long down the spine.
Yarn: Any favourite fingering weight yarn with a solid or semi-solid colour (or gradient) will look gorgeous. Works well with a sport weight also.
Clarifications
Blank squares are knit on the RS and purled on the WS.
On Chart C, row 1 sets up the edging, which does not have a center panel. While working this row you can remove the markers as the decreases will cross the markers.
To check your transition to chart C, the K-point (between two YOs) will line up with the previous YO between scales.
July 2011 - now available with bigger charts.
Hatchling is a part of There May Be Dragons Here bundle.
