I am moving up in weight….this time worsted!
If you are thinking about the chill of the upcoming Winter, this is a great shawl to keep you warm. Shaped by 4 panels into a semi circle, it sets beautifully on your shoulders whilst the black cats play this Halloween season!

This is a pattern for a worsted weight shawl. This shawl will have 4 panels and worked from the bottom up with lace work on both sides. It includes lace, a few cables, texture, and beads. Size is easily adjustable by adding panels or going up needles sizes. I recommend 3 skeins of Heartland if you work a 5 panel shawl on 4.5 mm needles or a 4 panel shawl on 5.5 mm needles. I worked this shawl on 4.5 mm needles with 4 panels and 2 skeins of Heartland. I am a loose knitter, you may want to work this shawl on 5.5mm needles (or larger) with 4 panels to get a sizeable shawl. You know your knitting style best!
A 5 panel shawl will give you the same depth but circle around you more like a crescent.
Due to the detailed stitches, I recommend a gentle tonal or solid colour yarn. Approx. 400 (500) sized 3/0 beads.
