Harry the Hippo is knitted for hugs!! This cuddly hippo is knitted predominantly in stockinette, with garter stitch feet. Designed by Amanda Berry @fluffandfuzz, the hippo is knitted in acrylic DK yarns on single pointed needles (not in the round).

NEEDLES
A pair of 3.5mm single pointed knitting needles (US 4)

RECOMMENDED YARN
Sirdar Hayfield Baby Bonus DK; double knitting/light worsted weight; 100% acrylic; one 100g skein in blue.

NOTIONS
Tapestry needle, toy filling, plus buttons and felt fabric for eyes.

SIZES
One size only - 21cm tall (standing).

TECHNIQUES
For confident beginners and above, other techniques used include casting on and off, knits, purls, increases and decreases, and seaming to finish.
