Harlequin Throw
by Kate Winkler
Baby/fingering weight yarn and US Size 6 (4.25 mm) needles yield a block approximately 4.5” square. Worsted weight yarn and US Size 8 (5 mm) needles yield a block approximately 5.75” square. Multiple strands of finer weight yarns may be knitted together to achieve a “chunky” gauge. Alternatively, each block could be knitted with a different yarn and/or color, allowing the knitter to use up leftovers and to achieve a patchwork effect. Yarns of differing weights could also be combined in some or all of the blocks; simply use the number of strands required to match the gauge of the bulkiest yarn used.
