You can use the edging tutorial on all future blanket projects. To make this pattern you need to know the basic stitches: chain, single crochet, half double crochet, double crochet, treble crochet (US terms).

I made this blanket with Scheepjes Cotton Eight, but Phildar Coton 3 is a lovely alternative yarn.
