Smile! Happy Pill-ows are happy to see you!

These pastel pillows are designed for any gauge. The pattern lists two 100g skeins of bulky yarn and a 10mm hook, but just swap that out with other yarn and a hook to match if you prefer, or if that’s what you’ve got on hand. I like the large size, not just because they make hug-able pill-ows, but because they make them extra-ridiculous.

This easy pattern is suitable for beginners. It’s worked in pieces, because modular bits are easier to carry about than one larger object, and to avoid any colour change issues. The pieces are whipstitched together with invisible thread.

The eyes are cut out of felt (a template is provided with the pattern, of course!) and glued on with the tiniest-possible amount of craft glue or PVA.

These Happy Pill-ows work up quickly, so why not make more than one?
