The Happy Knitting Kit gives you the pattern to make both the beenie style hat and the cute cuffs, then it is up to you if you buy the yarn for both or for one or the other. The hat is reversible, on the other side it has a neat rib that looks slightly more masculine than the cable. The clever shaping is hidden in the cables and makes the hat an interesting project to make, whilst the cuffs are an easy introduction to cabling. The hat takes 2 balls of Purl Alpaca DK and the cuffs take 1 ball only. When buying the complete set of hat and cuffs it comes with 3 balls, this might stretch to a second pair of cuffs – the ideal gift!
