Let’s go Glamping!

Knit as part of our WPKnits Club Mystery Knit Along for 2017. As we knit our projects, we will “stay” at some amazing locations and camp in truly pampered style.

This is a two-color shawl/poncho in optional sizes and shapes. We will be doing some simple lace and adding optional beads.
You will have the option of making three shapes: a triangle, ¾ square, or full square poncho; each in either small or large size.

Details:
Skills: The pattern is fully written out and charted. The stitches used are all pretty basic, so it is a relaxing knit, but with lots of detail to keep you interested. Basic knit increases and decreases (yo, k2tog, ssk, slipped stitches) are included, but anything beyond that will be explained. We will be offering a good introduction to adding beads, simple lace and mosaic stitches.

Yarn: Stunning String Tranquil (80% Superwash Merino, 20% Bamboo, 430 yds (393 m), 100 g), 2-8 skeins.
• Small Triangle (35”x70”) 1 skein each MC/CC, or any fingering weight yarn, 860yds (786m), 200g)
• Small ¾ Square (22”x44”) 2 skeins each MC/CC, or any fingering weight yarn, 1400yds (1284m), 325g)
• Small Full Square (35”x70”) 2 skeins each MC/CC, or any fingering weight yarn, 1720yds (1573m), 400g)
• Large Triangle (43”x85”) 2 skeins each MC/CC, or any fingering weight yarn, 1720yds (1573m), 400g)
• Large ¾ Square (30”x60”) 3 skeins each MC/CC, or any fingering weight yarn, 2580yds (23595m), 600g)
• Large Full Square (43”x86”) 4 skeins each MC/CC, or any fingering weight yarn, 3440yds (3146m), 800g)

Recommendations: Pattern was written for contrasting yarns with CC being a light neutral.

Needles: US 6 (4.0 mm) 40”-60’ (100-150 cm) circular needles, or size required to obtain gauge.

Optional: 6/0 Seed Beads and tool to apply bead: crochet hook, Super Floss or a beading tool.
