Life is a party but you have to hang the bunting yourself!!! And what could be more fun than a self-crocheted garland? This pattern can be crocheted by anyone who knows the basic stitches and clusters.
With this pattern you can make not only HAPPY BIRTHDAY GARLAND.
You will find all of letters of the alphabet and numbers. It enables you to make your own personalised bunting with any combination of letters and number, spelling all names and words.
SKILL LEVEL: Intermediate
THE PROJECT CONTAINS: large format chart/diagram, full written instructions in English with US terminology and a photo tutorial
MATERIALS
Yarn: fingering yarn, 50 g/125 m (as Durable Coral, Scheepjes Catona or Schachenmayr Catania)
Multicolor version: 1 ball color A, B, C, D, E and 2 balls color F
Natural version: 5 balls color G and 2 balls color H.
For one flag you need about 40 m yarn).
2.5 mm hook
Optional 13 beads 12 mm
Scissors, stitch marker, tapestry needle to weave in ends.
THE SIZE
My flags made of fingering yarn and 2.5 mm crochet hook are about 16 cm wide and 18 cm long (24 including tassel) after blocking.
Length bunting of 13 flags: HAPPY 1.3 m and BIRTHDAY 1.7 m
The size of a crocheted flag depends on the yarn and crochet hook used.
PATTERN INFORMATION:
The flags are worked separately from each other and then crocheted together.
The flag is worked in rows, turn your work after each row and work on the Right Side and Wrong Side.
Work a scalloped edge on both long sides. Work optional scalloped edge on the top.
Finish off the flags by making tassels or crochet flowers.
This pattern includes charts. Start each row at the row number.
Thread tension is not important for this project.
Block your flags. This makes your flags more beautiful.
