Oversized cardigan in simple, geometric shapes that is easy to combine with a wide range of dress styles.
The combination of stocking and garter stitches adds texture and interesting lines. The version in the pictures was knitted in Noro Kibou, a lovely blend of cotton, wool and silk in a range of self-striping colours, but this pattern looks equally interesting in a solid or semi-solid yarn.

It is knitted from the bottom up in one piece up to the arm-inset. The sleeves are knitted from the shoulder edges down, picking up stitches along the way. There is some grafting involved so it is useful to be able to do the Kitchener Stitch.
