By casting on an odd number of stitches, it is easy to work moss stitch in the round and the length of the skirt can easily be adjusted before working the first set of styled decreases.
I chose a deep elastic for the waistband to make sure that the skirt feels secure and comfortable in wear, and this elastic is cleverly encased in the cast-off ribbing to make for a professional finish to the garment.
