Hannah's Gift Bag/Bath Mitt
I designed this gift bag for my friend Hannah, who collects beautiful handmade soaps. When I give her gifts of soap, I always package them differently.
Hannah’s Gift Bag/Bath Mitt is knit in one piece, using a simple slip stitch pattern.
A ball in each of two colors of Lily’s Sugar ’n Cream will make two bags plus.
The bag is embellished with an I-cord bow that can also be used to hang the mitt to dry. Match the bow to either of the two colors used in the bag.
The size of the bag/mitt can easily be altered by casting on more or less stitches and working to a different length.
As pictured, the bag/mitt measures approximately 5 3/4” in length when the top flap is folded over, or 8 1/2” in length when the top flap is extended. As designed the bath mitt will fit most adult hands.
Bag/mitt is sewn together at the sides. Bow is formed from I-cord and attached to flap.
Fill with soaps, pot pourri, bath beads …
