Hand Knitted Shirt 1934 by Columbia Yarns
This is a sporty-looking short-sleeved shirt with a collar that looks similar to modern polo-shirt collars, but nicer. The shirt is fitted at the waist and has ribbing from the waist up to the yoke. The collar is finished with crochet hook.
“For this shirt in size 16 you will need 6 balls of Waterwear Zephyr, one pair of bone knitting needles size 2 (English size 10), and one steel crochet hook size 3 (English size 1 + 14).”
If it is based on Butterick flat pattern sizing of the time, a size 16 should be for a 34” bust.
