Hanami Socks
These socks are inspired by the beauty of cherry blossoms. I needed some time to write down my idea of the socks and finally did it, when my friend Riccarda told me she had spend some time in Japan and also loves cherry blossoms.
The socks are worked cuff-down, after some rows of ribbing, you start with stranded colorwork. The heel is knitted with ribbing and slipped stitches, and the gusset is on the sole.
I am a left handed knitter so this pattern includes left and right handed charts. Be careful to pick the right chart for your style of knitting! Ssk and k2tog are used like right handed knitters use them. K2tog has to be a right-leaning decrease, ssk a left-leaning decrease.
