Cardigan with Fair Isle yoke. Waist is shaped with cabling which also gives a textured area.
The cardigan is knitted in one piece to the armhole, then separated for back and front for a few rows, before the Fair Isle yoke is started. The sleeves are knitted in the round, starting at the cuff. The yoke is knitted onto stitches from fronts, back and sleeves; a steek is used to enable this to be knitted in the round. The under arm opening is closed by grafting (Kitchener stitch) or by three needle bind off. The buttonhole band has a curved edge.
For the smallest size 525g of the main colour are needed, and for the biggest size 825g is needed. For all sizes 25g of each of the other 5 colours are needed.
A Guernsey cast on was used for the photographed cardigan (size 2) but any cast on method can be used.
